I disassembled the nailer, removing the piston driver assy.Upon inspection, there was a slight curvature to the steel of the driver. I have used nails from Senco for their SCN 250 nailer (only available in 2 & 2 1/4" lengths) and from a company named Atro for their Roll 65 and Roll 70 nailers. These coil nails have no angle and are completely interchangeable.

May 24, 2014·It may shoot well but I would guess that it is causing additional wear to the gun. I am surprised they even feed well. I know 28 degree and 31 degree will hardly feed through the same gun. I got a deal on 21 degree nails the other day, 8 boxes of 4000 nails for about 22 dollars a box. May 23, 2014 at 3:42 pm #135722.

I'm using 2 1/2" nails so that they sink into the concrete 1" (As recommended by Dewalt) and using the #4 cartridge (Also as recommended by Dewalt, and this happens to be the largest cartridge that this tool supports.).

Then I saw a repair of a Dewalt First Fix nailer with the same problem and thought I would try it out my Nailer. Low and behold, two hours and £5 later, its fixed.
